Ray Fashano- President

Retired school administrator for three separate school districts with nineteen years experience in the superintendent’s position. His last school district was Jamestown Public Schools where he led a major initiative that saw the oversight of three public referendums totaling over 130 million dollars for capital improvement and technology enhancements. He developed a fiber optic network to connect his twelve buildings regarding voice, video, data and security systems.

Ray has had private sector technology experience and through his leadership has made Jamestown Public Schools a leader in technology in New York State. He was featured in District Administrator (August, 2007) in an article entitled “Private Sector Technology Experience Applied to School District.” Ray started his thirty- five year educational career as a science and biology teacher for thirteen of those years. He and his wife, Jeanine, live in Jamestown, New York.

 
Terry Lind - President Elect

terrylindTerry Lind has been employed at the Lind funeral home since his graduation. He married Darlene Johnson and has three children Nathan D, Seth R, and Rachael A. Lind. He attends the Fluvanna Community Church and formerly was a member of the Zion Covenant Church and served on the Church Council. He is a member of Chautauqua Striders Board of Directors, Downtown Jamestown Development Corporation Board of Directors, Ingjald Lodge #65 IOV, Mt Moriah Masonic Losge #145 F&AM, Jamestown Consistory, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, Chautauqua County Funeral Directors Association, and the National Funeral Directors Association. Formerly he served on the Board of United Way of Southern Chautauqua County.
 

 
Lillian Ney - Vice President

Lillian is a retired M.D. She has worked at WCA, JAMA, and Heritage Park Nursing Home. She also was the acting Commissioner of Health. She attended the University of Buffalo school of medicine. She has won awards such as the John D. Hamilton Community Service Award, Chautauqua Region. Along with the Wells College Alumnae Award and the American Heart Association Community Service Award.

 
John Whittaker - Secretary

Jamestown resident John Whittaker has worked for The Post-Journal since 1996 as a sportswriter, general assignment reporter, education reporter, city government reporter and the city/region editor. Whittaker graduated from Panama Central School in 1995. He studied Political Science with a concentration in Constitutional Law at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA for four years. John is also a director on the Babe Ruth World Series Board.

 

 
Jim Domagola - Treasurer

Jim Domagola - Treasurer

Jim is currently employed by Jamestown Savings Bank – A Division of Northwest Savings Bank and serves as Vice President. He has over 22 years experience in banking and has served on the DJDC board for almost 20 years. He also currently serves on the Greater Jamestown Zone Capital Corporation board, Finance Committee member of the St James R.C. Church, and a present member of the Kiwanis Club of Jamestown.

 
Jackie Benson - Director

Jackie Benson - Director

Past owner and operator of Bro Laines Bridal, Jackie Benson has since retired to spend more time with her family, with children in Florida and Hawaii. Jackie and her husband Michael live in Jamestown.

 
Mike Sullivan - Director

Mike Sullivan - Director

He went to St. John Fischer College in Rochester, NY. Mike is on the WCA board of directors and was elected secretary of board May, 2008. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Downtown Jamestown Development Corporation. Mike was awarded the Bronze Star for Meritorious Service, US Army, and the Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service, US Army. He was indicted in the Rochester, NY Adult Recreation Association hall of fame. The most recent are he was named Paul Harris Fellow by Downtown Jamestown Rotary and lastly he was named Chautauqua County Leader of the year by Chautauqua Leadership Network.

Mike Goldman - Director

Mike Goldman is a graduate of Jamestown High School. He then went on to Denison University in Grandville Ohio. From there he went to Syracuse University, College of Law. Mike was an associate at Bailey & Erickson, and then an associate at Lodestro & Bailey. He is also an instructor of Real Estate Law at Jamestown Community College. He is currently a partner at Sotir & Goldman, Attorneys at Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, and was the past president of the Jamestown Bar Association. Mike is currently the Board of Directors of Lutheran Social Services, Arts Council Chautauqua County, Resource Center, Downtown Jamestown Development Corporation. He is married and has 2 daughters Betsy and Emily.

 

 
Jennifer Harkness - Director

Jennifer is the Senior Vice President/Senior District Executive of Northwest Savings Bank/Jamestown Savings Bank.  Her affiliations include:  Past President of the Rotary Club of Jamestown, Co-Chair of the Jamestown Strategic Planning & Partnerships Commission, DJDC, Jamestown Renaissance Corp., United Way of Southern Chautauqua Board of Directors and the Gebbie Foundation Community Committee. She is a certified Main Street Manager through the National Trust for Historic Preservation. One of Buffalo Business First’s 40 under 40.

 
William Prieto - Director

William Prieto - Director

Out of high school Bill joined the United States Army. Bill was trained in leadership, weapons, demolitions, and combat lifesaving techniques, above and beyond the typical combat engineer. After his successful military stint, Bill went on to college. Beginning at Jamestown Community College he transferred to State University of New York at Fredonia completing a B.S. in Communications. Bill started his career in advertising as a salesman with Tri-State Outdoor Media Group, Inc. Creating systems to streamline finance, office and operational processes is an ongoing effort and throughout all of this he continues to develop the strategies and policies that will guide Advertising Advantage into the future.

 
Dale Robbins - Director

Dale Robbins - Director

Dale Attended Duke University. He is a partner at the Law firm of Burgett & Robbins, LLP. He is involved with the United Stated District Court, Western, and the United States Bankruptcy Court, Western. Both in the District of New York and the District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association. He is a member of both the Jamestown and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. Dale is an associate of the Erie County Bar Association. He takes part in the Attorneys Grievance Committee for the 8th Judicial District. Dale participates in the Chautauqua Lake Sportsmen’ Club Board of Directors, South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts. He is married to Rebecca Irwin Robbins, and has 3 children; Anne, Ted, and Allison.

Robert Frucella - Director

Bob is a currently employed at Jamestown Area Medical. He attended Suny- Empire State College in Buffalo, New York. There he majored in Business Administration and got his bachelor’s degree in Accounting. From there he went to Jamestown Business College in Jamestown, New York. He majored in Business Administration. He also got his Associated degree in Accounting and Marketing. He is in charge of preparing quarterly financial statements, monitoring daily receivables, and report writing for 22 physicians.

 
Andy Scalise - Director

Andy Scalise - Director

Andy Scalise was born and raised in Jamestown and attend Syracuse University School of Architecture graduating in 1961. He was in the construction business for 25 years and retired with Habiterra Architecture and Landscape Architecture as an architectural project inspector. He is married with two kids and three grand kids. Since retiring, Andy has taken an interest in growing giant pumpkins as a hobby.

Bill Daly - Ex-Officio

William J. Daly is Director of Planning & Economic Development for Chautauqua County and Administrative Director/Chief Executive Officer for the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency. Mr. Daly has extensive experience as an entrepreneur in business development. Mr. Daly received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.

 

 
Greg Edwards - Ex-Officio

Greg is a life-long resident of Chautauqua County having been raised on his family's dairy farm in Panama. Greg graduated from Panama Central School, and received his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Allegheny College. He later graduated from the University of Toledo School of Law. He practiced law for 18 years in the Jamestown area and was elected to the position of Chautauqua County Executive and began his term January 2, 2006. Greg and his wife, the former Carrie Wilson have one son, Bronson, and two daughters, Corinne and Alyson and reside in the Town of Busti.

Sam Teresi - Ex-Officio

Sam Teresi was elected in 1999, re-elected in the years 2003 and 2007. He is on the Board of Directors of the Babe Ruth Baseball World Series, Inc. The mayor is on t he Executive Advisory Board, Jamestown Professional Baseball, Inc. He attends St. James Roman Catholic Church. Sam is the past president of the Kiwanis Club. He was the recipient of the “40 under 40” which is an award recognizing the top 40 business and community leaders in Western New York under the age of 40. He also was awarded the Jamestown Community College Distinguished Alumnus Award. He has been married for 25 years to Becky Peterson and has an 18 year old son named Joe and a 16 year old son named John.

 
Lee Harkness - Executive Director

Lee Harkness is currently the Executive Director of DJDC. Lee is responsible for the execution and management of the “Main Street Program” in accordance with guidelines as set forth by the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Jamestown, New York.

Prior to DJDC Lee was a development specialist, rural development specialist and events coordinator for the Chautauqua County Department of Development and IDA; Project Coordinator for the New York State Association of Agricultural Fairs; original member of the New York State Rural Development Council; owner/operator of retail/wholesale feed, farm supply, crop production company; manager of petroleum bulk plant; and owner/operator of complete horse training/tack store operation.

 
Tiffani Conti - Projects Coordinator

Tiffani Conti - Projects Coordinator

Tiffani received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sport and Recreation Management with a minor in Athletic Coaching from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in 2006 and currently serves as the Special Projects Manager for DJDC. She and her husband, Sam, live in Napoli with their two dogs. Tiffani is a youth volleyball coach, serves on the United Way Council for Community Building committee and will serve on the YWCA of Jamestown Board of Directors in 2010.
