The Downtown Jamestown Development Corporation is teaming up with various downtown businesses and presenting Music Monthly Downtown Jamestown kicking off in January 2010. Music Monthly will be held in downtown Jamestown the second Thursday of every month starting in January.
“We want to reconnect with our various eateries and felt this would be a unique opportunity to combine local businesses, local talent and DJDC to really showcase what we have in downtown,” said Tiffani Conti, DJDC Special Projects Manager. “Our goal is to work with as many eating and drinking establishments as possible to increase foot traffic downtown while raising funds to support DJDC does each year.”
Monthly Music will kick-off at the Fenton Grill, located at 2 East Second Street in downtown Jamestown, on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 5-8pm. A free concert will be provided by Brian Chase. Chase is a veteran at the Fenton Grill and will perform a variety of music including country, rock, blues, and original pieces. Visit Myspace.com/briankchase to hear samples from Brian Chase.
The Fenton Grill is a prime business in downtown offering a full menu, in addition to their nightly bar menu specials. The Fenton Grill was established in 2008 by Brian and Kim Taylor. Open Monday through Saturday, 4pm-12am they are a premier food center and martini bar in Jamestown offering the largest selection of local and national wines. They not only offer first-class dining they can accommodate your holiday, birthday, anniversary or small gathering in their fashionable banquet room. There is ample parking along North Main Street and East Second Street, along with free parking on Saturdays.
A donation from every drink and bar food sale will be donated to the Downtown Jamestown Development Corporation to support the various community events and programs DJDC produces each year.
“The Taylor’s and the Fenton Grill hosted our annual meeting this last year and they provided a premium venue for our meeting – nothing but first class and we are honored to work with them once again,” added Lee Harkness, DJDC Executive Director.
