Come Check Out Taste of Jamestown 2007! |

The Downtown Jamestown Development Corporation is very excited to announce a new event coming to Third Street in Downtown Jamestown. Taste of Jamestown 2007 will fill Third Street on Friday, August 3, 2007 from 11:00am to 11:00pm.
There will be restaurants, cafes, bars and catering companies being represented at this year’s Taste of Jamestown. Any establishments interested in participating in Taste of Jamestown are asked to contact Tiffani Reynolds at 664-2477. Live entertainment will showcase at Potter’s Terrace along with tasty treats from area restaurants, cafes, bars and catering companies. Participants in Taste of Jamestown will have booths set up along Third Street providing samples from their full menus. DJDC will be operating the ticket booth for patrons to purchase tickets to sample the menu items. Each ticket will be worth 50 cents. All items will range from 50 cents to $4.00.
Menus items to date include Italian sausage, kebabs, chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, pork & beef pie, rigatoni, and much more!
“This is a brand new event that DJDC will be hosting. We envision Taste of Jamestown growing to be a two day, annual event,” commented Tiffani Reynolds, DJDC Special Projects Manager. “This event is solely for the businesses to come down and take advantage of the unique opportunity for the community to “taste” what each establishment has to offer. We hope provide maximum exposure for our participants.”
Taste of Jamestown will be an annual fundraiser for the Downtown Jamestown Development Corporation. All proceeds raised from this event will be used to continue provide events in Downtown Jamestown. “Our events are very expensive and we hope that Taste of Jamestown will become a great fundraiser to provide funds for our events. All of our events are free to the public, excluding the St. Patrick’s Day Evening Celebration, and we would like to continue providing a variety of events with a lot of activities for families, senior citizens, and children of ages to continue to enjoy.”
Taste of Jamestown will take place in conjunction with Lucy’s Birthday Celebration.
